Notes from Spain.
Sevilla. Plaza de España. (by José Manuel Azcona)
This summer, I went to Spain to study abroad for 7 weeks. It was amazing. I loved it. And at the time I has a separate blog in which I recounted everything that happened, but I've decided to relocate those posts here.
This post is from May 4th, 2010 at 11:59pm:
So, I'm leaving for Spain in 9 days. And I'm kind of freaking out.
I'm excited about all of the wonderful things I get to see (including the beauty above) and do (including learning how to flamenco dance, watch a soccer game, and practice the heck out of my spanish).
But I'm also nervous/frightened about soooo many things (including being away from my family and friends for 7 weeks, living in a foreign country with foreign foods and traditions, not speaking in english, living with a family I don't know, not having constant cellular and internet access, and possibly getting kidnapped). Ahh!
Hopefully, the fear will subside when I get there and I'll just have a blast. Regardless, prayers are welcome. I'll keep you posted. Much love!
