¡Te amo, España!

This post is from May 15th at 12:35pm:

Hey all!

There is no internet in the hotel we’re staying at, so I had to run to the nearest Starbucks (there are two on this street alone), grab a cafe con leche and use their WIFI.
Anyways, Spain has been great so far, and I’ve only barely had a taste!
Survived the 9 hour plane ride to Germany, gazed at the cloudy Frankfurt sky and then hopped onto the 3 hour ride to plane ride to Madrid.

And Madrid is beautiful! It’s like the New York City of Spain with all of the lights, people, stores, and in-your-face advertising. It’s wonderful. And full of many American delights such as Starbucks (which I’m currently sitting in), KFC, Dunkin’ Donuts, BurgerKing, McDonald’s and more. Ha.

However, today we chose to visit the more cultural and historical side of Madrid at the Prado Museum of Art. It was gorgeous and featured famous works by Diego Velazquez, Francisco Goya, and Salvador Dali. Was definitely amazing. I don’t want to leave this city at all.

But alas, tomorrow we head to Sevilla! After the 6 hour bus ride I get to meet mi familia esponola and get settled in! I’m so excited!

I’ll keep you all updated.
